Easy DIY Wall Art

Soooo.....I found this lovely idea on Pinterest for a monotone wall hanging (click HERE) and thought it'd make a great gift for a baby shower I have to attend.

It's baby #4 and the gender is a surprise. They already have 3 girls and the nursery is a bright yellow.

HEre's my tutorial on how I made this wall art!

First I started with a blank canvas (2 pack at Hobby Lobby for $5.99). I purchased this stuff for $1.99 and a can of Krylon spray paint in Pistachio ($4.99).

Then I printed out the verse I wanted in the font I liked. Cut it up, taped it to the BACK side of the canvas, like so.....
Then I turned it around and traced the letters with the Writer Paint doodad.

And here is what it looks like after I took the lettering off the back.....
And this is what I got after spray painting it! I think I may go over it one more time to even out the color.....or maybe it's just the lighting!

Hi Shana! I'm sorry I didn't answer you're questions sooner. I have never painted my canvas after the letters were already glued on, so I don't know what would work best. Sorry that I'm no help on this one!

You're project looks awesome!
